A squid‐inspired swimming robot using folding of origami

چکیده
Origami enables the folding of objects into a variety shapes. This paper presents swimming robot using and unfolding motion tabular origami. A squid-inspired jet propulsion mechanism is used to design an origami robot. The utilizes pulsed-jet through tubular structure, which could deform undulate provide for incorporated in stable body, while both forward steering are generated by structure undulating fins. An analytical model investigate capture relationship between motor's speed thrust developed. prototype fabricated 3D printing, experiments verify robot's components assembly system. results show that achieve origami, unique advantages over other existing underwater technologies, including scalability water treatment capabilities. provides novel simple here, promotes development new class independent robots.
